Thanks Akri for the nomination. Here is a list of my 10 favorite books 1. Enders Series, Orson Scott Card : This series spans for about 3000 centuries and about 15 books so far. One of the most interesting storylines I have ever read. Came across this series recently, have read it about 8 times in 1 year. Irresistable 2. Harry Potter, J.K.Rowling:- Childhood love. Nothing more to say. 3. Foundation Series,Isaac Asimov: My favorite author. His vision about the future simply astounds me. His writings have influenced our stories concerning Robots and Future tech. The storyline is simply amazing. 4. Atlas Shrugged & The Fountainhead, Ayn Rand : These books are highly controversial and their subject is still debated. But Ayn Rands words strike a chord inside like none other. 5. A Song of Ice and Fire, G.R.R. Martin : Made famous by the very popular TV series Game of Thrones, this series has kept throwing suprise punches all through. Wonderful storytelling. One can almost see the dots connect, but know it is going to kickass anyway. Although, I have grown tired waiting for the next book to come out. Khu! Khu! 6. Inheritance Cycle, Christopher Paolin : Eragon and is story was very captivating. Hooked in by the fantasy. Although the ending disappointed. No doubt the author thought to make it unique, which it is. 7. Pillars of the Earth and World Without End, Ken Follet : These books span a generation and it is mix of historcal fiction, drama, love, a builders passion and innovation, plagues, greed, corruption, war. Has everything I would love to find in a book. 8. Kane and Abel, Jeffery Archer : A book that has kept me awestruck all through. The storyline is very original and spanning from the birth to death of two very interesting characters. The part were William Kane and Abel Rosnoviski acknowledge each other in the street and the one where Abel learns about his benefactor is etched in my memory. 9. The Lost Symbol, Dan Brown : Of all the Dan Brown books, I enjoyed this one the most. The author does amazing research. Also Inferno, the latest, has some serious modern day issues. 10. The Name of the Rose, Umberto Eco : An abbey, strange murders on biblical lines. A new Brother investigating the murders using Aristotles logic. Bizzare humor, puzzles, philosphy, an insight into the 14th century; this book is an epic work. I agree with Ammu J Ram, so happy to see so many of my friends read so much. And agree with Arun Krishnan too, relieving reading those books is a good experience. :) I nominate Shibin George Maxwell Felix Arshed Hakeem Vineet Vijayan Vishnu Revikumar Reejo Cherian Sandeep Mathew to share their favorite books too.. :)
