Thanks Barry for the song challenge… I will post different - TopicsExpress

Thanks Barry for the song challenge… I will post different songs everyday for the next five days that reflect my own variety of musical tastes and just for the enjoyment. Song one: Not sure the original meaning intended by Counting Crows, but this song always makes me think of the human experience through life. We are all born blind to prejudice, stereotypes and our own learned perceptions, but as we are folded and folded through experience we change and although we may not always be able to speak what we truly think or feel and although we may want to change, it is not always easy to get back to being purely colorblind and to walk into a situation expectation free. It holds meaning not just for race, but for anything that we find is holding us within a static and dogmatic mindset. There is so much for us to learn from every station in life. I think it is symbolic that the woman is riding the train and shows flashes of different places that could be considered to be memories that she is having and in the end she chooses a station to get off and to re-enter her life and to search for new challenges and new life experiences. Whenever I feel stuck, this song always sends me reflecting into where I have been and where I want to go, but also makes me always reconsider the relationships that I have with those around me. This song is also connected to a movie Cruel Intentions. Please enjoy… comments welcome. https://youtube/watch?v=X-ekF9W6to4
