Thanks, David C. Jones, for finding this one. Chans one of my heroes, as a physical performer, as a choreographer, and now I understand why just a little better. Its worth remembering that Chans big hero is Buster Keaton. This reminds me of something I read about how Fred Astaire insisted on shooting dance: head to toe with as few edits as possible so you can actually see how they move. (Gene Kelly also said something like, Take a look at how many edits there are in pop videos. Thats to cover up a lot of second-rate dancing.)
