Thanks Doug for continuing to voice your opposition! I want to respond to a few comments that suggest that this power line is only to serve Arkansas. That is wrong. It is only to serve SWEPCO and their guaranteed power transmission profits. We dont need it here in Arkansas, AND we dont want it thrust north onto our neighbors in Missouri. It was never our idea that the Judge would approve route 109 in Missouri. That ruling came as a complete surprise. We have believed that the only reasonable condusion is to reject the power line completely on all its proposed routes. In the public hearing in Little Rock, we proved that it isnt needed. We proved that the Environmental Impact Statement is a joke. I want the folks in Missouri to know that your Arkansas neighbors are on your side and are fighting with all our strength to keep SWEPCO out of your backyards and our own at the same time. One of the most effective strategies used by power transmission companies in getting to do whatever they want is to divide the people on one route against those on another. We will not be divided. This is not a matter of citizens of Arkansas trying to take advantage of folks in Missouri. It is a matter of a power company having gone rogue against the interests of both States. Go to stoplines to be heard!
