Thanks Ramitha Jayamal for nominating me for the Book Bucket Challenge. Now this is something I actually love doing. Below are the 10 best books Ive read and the ones that have influenced in shaping up my thoughts and the way I look at life 1. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte - always my favourite classic. Taught me obsessive love could be venomous , even deadly. Absolutely love the powerful character building of this book 2. Harry Potter by J.K Rowling - most loved book of all times. Much more than a book to me. Changed the way I think about life , friendship and keeping faith in people . Helped me brush up my writing skills too.The book I still turn up to when I need distraction from real world chaos 3. Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier - another classic. Love that I can relate to the main character. This story about love, suspense, jealously and faith still intrigues me 4. The Count of Monte Christo series by Alexander Dumas - the book in which I first fell in love with a fictional character - Edmon Dante. I always think of him as my first love haha. Endless imagination of Dumas never fails to impress me 5. Gone with the Wind by Margaret Michelle - a book thats set on the times of world war 2. A book thats rich with details! 6. Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte - another main character I could relate to. A plain average girl yet someone who respect herself for who she is 7. Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella- chic lit aint usually my type but this is a book I truly enjoy when I need some light reading 8. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseni - love it but wont read again anytime soon . Too much pain and sadness to take 9. Gehenu Lamai trilogy by Karunasena Jayalath - favourite sinhala novel. Always wondered how the author could describe then inner self of a girl so well given that hes not one 10. Time Travellers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - truly a book youll never forget. Love the intricately woven plot and the ending that leaves you with something to last long after you turn the final page I herby nominate Vindya Divulwewa and Muditha Wijesundara for this challenge
