Thanks Sean McCann for posting.......this is my favourite shanty( I love this stuff),,,,had the chance to meet and play this tune among others with Darrell on stage one night after he had left great big sea. For those not in the know, and not a huge fan like me, these three lads performing in video comprised three fourths of the now famous band great big sea , A band that inspired me And still does. I miss performing Atlantic Canadian music. Nice old post from back in the day...and a shout out to Darrell who was so kind and humble as a fellow musician to this old stage dog, I think if memory serves correct we did excursion, sonnys dream, pat murphy, and old black rum.....and a couple udder tunes that night. Good memories from many years gigging. Met so many great musical brothers and sisters.
