Thanks Tina Hardt Vital my number is eight. 1. My mother prayed for a girl after delivering my three brothers, as a result she taught be how to crochet and cook. 2. s a baby, I had curly blonde hair and blue eyes and believe it or not, I won multiple baby beauty contests. 3. My surrogate mother was the television, and I love many early shows: Andy Griffin Show, F Troop, Beverly Hillbillies, I Dream of Genie, Hogans Heroes, Carol Burnett Show, Laugh In and All in the Family just to name a few. 4. I had my first job at six, my brother passed on the small paper route (Hudson Street Loop) to me, and Jim took the big route from Walt. 5. My fondest memories of my childhood was Christmas mornings, first the paper route had to be delivered (on Christmas we had it delivered by 5 AM), then a great breakfast, then the one day of the year that we were spoiled. My mom loved Christmas so. 6. As the top paperboy salesman in the country, Parade Magazine sent me to Spain & Portugal at age 12. It was an awesome trip, especially meeting King Franco and Prince Carlos [todays King of Spain]. 7. At one time or another, I played organized football, basketball, baseball, softball, and a course running. I started running road races at the age of 6. I was so known in the racing circuit that the childrens show Zoom wanted to do a show on me, but my mom was afraid to drive into Boston. 8. I fell in love with literature and teaching because of my 7th grade teacher John OConnell. He made me feel safe and he inspired me to do great things. Thank you John! If you like this, I will assign you a number (dont worry Ill be kind.)
