Thanks a lot JPIA for the recognition I received last night and to all accounting students who voted for me. I didnt have the chance to say something last night though I was asked to, I was speechless then, and just expressed my gratitude through the song Special memory . I also would like to share this recognition to all accounting, law, taxation and other professors who are exerting much efforts, time, energy and resources to our students . Each professor / teacher deserves what I was given last night. It is not easy to be a teacher coz theres a lot that is expected of us! We need to prepare our lesson before entering the classroom, we have to make sure students are learning from us - not just the subject matter but things they need to know about life, we even stayed late at night before our computer preparing examinations, correcting papers and computing grades... etc. Our responsibility is great for we can make and unmake a student... we can inspire or discourage them... We have to live by example and need to practice what we preach. Yes, being in the academe is not a joke, we need to have patience in everything that we do and in listening to our students academic and non-academic problems/issues... we need to respect and be sensitive to their needs, feelings, and opinions even when at times they go against ours. Every teacher is a precious gift from God . This is our stepping stone in bringing souls to God. As it has been said Education is not merely learning , it is the development of proper values and attitude incorporated in the pursuit of knowledge We live by example...but we are not perfect too...Students need to inspire us too.. and our passion for this noble profession must stay in our hearts... We have a mission to do. Our joy is when we see that our students, not just CPAs but are living a life of goodness in accordance with Gods Will.. then we can say we have done our mission! Thanks JPIAns for partnering with the SCA- CCP projects and holding benefit shows esp for Tala Lleprosarium and Parola children. God is well pleased with your generosity and knows how to reward each one of you. Many Thanks Karl Angelo Fernandez and JPIAns for recognizing our noble task... Our mission continuous... Congratulations to all of us! To God be the Glory!
