Thanks and Two Paws Up to the folks at the Canadian Broadcast Corporation/Vancouver for investigating and exposing these dog breeders operating just over the border. WHS animal control officers seized dogs, puppies and two horses from the owners of this operation twice over the past year. The outcome of this case (a district court judge ordered the return of most of the dogs/puppies to the breeder) was extremely frustrating and emotional for our organization. The victory - WHS gained ownership of the horses and the dog pictured with the broken leg. She has since been adopted by a wonderful, loving family! One of the horses had to be euthanized due to his physical condition. The other horse was adopted and is now a loved, valued equine companion. WHS will continue to work tirelessly to protect and advocate for animals in need.
