Thanks, and thanks again: When one has made it past the age of forty, the thought of passing ones birthdays over in silence does occur from time to time. But apparently some of you - gently prodded by FB or not - thought otherwise. I suppose a certain and very late scientist by the name of Pavlov would have had something to say about celebrating ones birthday on social media. But be that as it may, and in light of the fact that it is virtually impossible to thank you all personally for your kind and warming birthday wishes yesterday (and yes, some of you did try to flatter me by subtracting a whole year from my forty-one years, nice try!), and big thanks to each and everyone. This is kind of apropos, and no offense: newyorker/books/page-turner/wasting-time-on-the-internet
