Thanks everyone for all the wonderful wishes for my bday.....it was such a brilliant day just gorgeous outside and so spring like how could anyone feel sad on a day like today lol....but as I reside in the alternate universe than most here is a wee little snippet of how the day went for me lol....first of all I was suppose to have a follow up visit to RC Hosptial after my ER visit of Saturday night and was suppose to go to RC Hospital interventional radiology to follow up with the drain issue I have been having..I was told if I hadnt heard from them by 9 am I was to call....so big surprise I had not heard from them by 9 so I call them ....I speak to the receptionist and she says I see you were booked for this morning but someone has cancelled it....really???? why??? I ask and she has no explanation other than someone accidentally clicked the wrong box in scheduling WHAT????....lol....so I ask her to check and see if my appt for scan is still intact for Thursday and thankfully she assures me it is.whew......ok... next I get a call regarding a position and due to some mis-communication they were sad to inform I missed a permanent job opportunity in Abbotsford.....which would have been ideal being closer to home and no more Rat in Cage commute to down town...lol....but I guess it was not meant to be :).the big man upstairs has yet another plan somehow for the Bevajean I guess I have go to go with that.... lol... as I am trying to digest this news I receive a call from my commuter van captain and he is...telling me I no longer have a seat in the van...unfortunately there were six of us in the commuter van and two of us are off due to medical reasons...the cost of running the van down two people is too much $$$ for the other four members so they downsized to a car.....so when I get back to work I will be doing the solo jaunt daily to good ol Library Square woo hoo omg yup its how my day rolled.....but all is not lost.. my spirits were buoyed by all of the greetings and well wishes I recd today....and then I get a call from Cathy and Ron singing happy birthday to me....and asking me to join them at the River to sit in lawn chairs and watch Ron fly his new drone helicopter and he even let me have a go at flying it which I think is really really brave of him lol..I was presented with a beautiful new lamp and a necklace....earlier on as I was trying to deal with all the trauma of the morning I decided I was going to partake in a little drive/scream therapy (trust me on this it works wonders and if you need a lesson I will gladly provide it) but when I got behind the wheel and started driving the ol Lougheed from the Agassiz side and as I was rolling down my windows to start with the screamming neemies out the window I was suddenly calmed by the sights of the eagles which were abundant today. I noticed all the the beauty that was around me.... I had YOU and me Fishing in the Dark blaring..suddenly I was flooded with thoughts of gratitude.. I am so so so blessed and dont have to look far to see there are many many people way worse off than myself......tonight was a wonderful gathering with my mum and dad my kids and grandkids and dear Auntie Marg for KFC and bday cake ...then when I got home I had two birthday cards waiting for me in the mail box thank you Dave n Carol for your warped Special card as you both know just how Special I ambut honestly it really did make me feel special reading and it made me laugh so hard you guys are hilarious I am so grateful and so so blessed hope you all had an awesome day xoxoxoxo.....................
