Thanks for accepting my request to join this site. I was at MarDet 1964-66 at St. Johns Wood. I was pleased to scroll through this site and see that our tradition of drunken parties, brawls and pissing the neighbors off was carried on by you youngsters in the highest tradition of the Marine Corps. Most of us moved on to greater adventures in Southeast Asia and one of my MarDet buds joined an elite group of heroes of the Corps when he earned the Medal of Honor on September 6, 1967. This is a pic of Sgt. Rodney Maxwell Davis in full guard gear that most of you should recognize. The guided missle frigate (FFG 60) bearing his name was launched in 1985 and is being decommissioned in January. The ship passes on but he will live forever in our memories. Semper Fi Marines
