Thanks for all the brothers including Sajid Kayum - who was first of the blocks - writing in defense of Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer ra.. from the accusations... It was thinking on it alone... and this is something caused immense pain and might have caused immense pain to those who loved him, who became Ahle Hadith due to his lecture... whos heart strengthened through his speeches.. Very few people - could elicit a tear, just by thinking about the person - his life - his death... and Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer Shaheed( R.A) was one of them.... We all love him for the sake of Alllah... Retrospectively... He was a man in a true sense... many entered Ahle Hadith.. just by his bravery and speaking out the truth even under oppression..... Today if Ahle Hadith are in any sizable position in Pakistan - his contribution would very well be very very substantial.... The logics and the accusations - against him are still strange... how is this that - when the scholars in Saudi Arabia associate with Kings - in implementing Islam and safe guarding them, and sometimes also defending the mistakes of the king.... the same if done by Allama - ie associating in Politics to the betterment of Muslims.... can he be labelled as a Ikhwani.... Strange are the times we live in.... Another point which is disturbing me - If Allama Ehsan Elahi Zaheer can be labelled as Ikhwani - what can Shah Walli ullah Muhadith Dehelvi - be labelled as - as he was more involved into politics of his era, including fights with Sikhs etc. - or for that what will be said of Shah Ismail Shaheed..... The very foundations of Jamiat e Ahle Hadith - and its legacy starts, stands on these few men... just to name a few... and to discredit them and stand and look with defending is very well - digging our own grave.... Today there is a fight for ideas and minds - between the - views of Ahle Hadith of the Subcontinent vs the views of Saudi Salafis...e specially in terms of political intelligences as - the world gets closer and closer... Ahle Hadiths have survived - almost living entirely in a non supportive environment and sometimes under utter cruelty when they were killed by British enmasse.... the same cannot be said of the Saudi Salafis political views... It will be interesting to see... what happens when the supporter stops to support.... and Will they preach still political non allegiance - when in reality - they are themselves are surrounded by states - where Salafis are into Politics / Elections (Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, etc)
