Thanks for all the messages of support re my huge data loss. Theres good news and bad news.... Good news... Whilst it cant be confirmed without opening every single document, the lab think theres 100% recovery on 932GB of data!!! At first glance - the whole lot. Cue frankly sobbing relief. Bad news... the folder that should contain all of the latest versions of my PhD chapters that I worked extensively on in the first 2 weeks of January, doesnt. So despite seeming to get back everything, the most important 5 word documents of all arent on the biggest text document Ive ever seen. Cue total panic, along with emails and phone calls. Im not a religious man but I am praying for the engineer currently trying to find them.
