Thanks for all the thoughtful birthday greetings--am continuing to have a really nice time--heading up the the east coast of Britain this afternoon to a music festival of some sort; am tagging along, really. Will stay in a b and b, so thatll be fun. To Edinburgh, Scotland next week. Had a great day yesterday at an enormous country home not far from Sheffield, Chatsworth, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire-- back in WW2 Kathleen Kennedy married the future Duke, am pretty sure. She was later killed in a plane crash--Kathleen was the sister of the future president and is buried across the road from the estate. I was told yesterday that President K came to visit her grave in 1963, not long before his assassination. Chatsworth is a gorgeous place. Photos coming. And lots more, from the sea , later on also. Oh, lastly, this am the radio said today was Friday Oct. 19-- you can imagine my surprise! ! Back soon. Kris
