Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes today. Feelin all - TopicsExpress

Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes today. Feelin all overwhelmed and sooky. But not always have I felt that way today. I have permission to relay something that happened in Hobart today. We were at the Wellington Clinic to take Caleb to the plastic surgeon and Physio. We waiting an inordinate amount of time for the worlds slowest elevator and finally boarded one reminiscent of those Japanese train videos where they literally push and push and push until people fill the train like sardines, so packed in they have trouble shutting the doors. We take an interminably long time to get to our floor, and we successfully unpack ourselves without broken ribs or cases of asphyxiation. We see the doc and finally Calebs wound is unveiled and we find that our week long gamble of whod guessed the right number of stitches is finally answered. Cal went for 8, Trev 10, me 12. There were 20. Apparently Im most wrong as 12 does not easily divide into 20. Much blethering and winding of bandages, velcro etc and Cal has a new cast and we arrive back at the elevator. Its a different story this time. One woman and just the three of us. Its interminably slow going down as well as up. Finally the door opens and she exits. The door gently closes and moments later Trev lets off the biggest rip-roaring snorter of a fart in the elevator in which Caleb and I are now trapped for the remaining slow descent in which we wail and flail ourselves on the closed doors. Ground floor arrives. As the doors open Caleb and I fall into obedient and grateful silence. There are 7 people waiting outside the door, pleased to see the arrival of the elevator... and to which they unsuspectingly step. We laughed for 3 blocks. https://youtube/watch?v=6KA9In355eo
