Thanks for letting me join this site! I rarely manage to get a decent photo of any bird, so its great to see all this excellent photography, as well as to keep up with the interesting sightings. Heres one of those rare shots (for me) - a pair of northern goshawks in the Marshall Springs area of Fish Creek Prov. Park, Calgary, Jan. 7/15. On the same walk, we also came across the famous northern pygmy owl, or maybe I should say we came across the group of birders/photographers who were peering intently at it, and then across the owl itself :-)... and while we were looking at it, a robin flew by, calling - lots of birds seen a fun couple of hours!
