I served(volunteered) on the new Midway Museum for a year, as a safety team member with retired Chief Vic Vydra in 2004-2005, first as pier security twice a week, then as she was setting up to become the terrific museum she is now I worked 4 days a week. In fact, I went back and worked the winter of 05-06 and they gave me quarters in officers country! A great time. Actually, my friend Tom Thompson (YN3) served in Ops from 73-75. We were supposed to be on the buddy plan, but he went to Midway and I went to Kitty Hawk. Cant win them all. Best Wishes to you all this Christmas season and a Happy New Year.
