Thanks for the acceptance! I was first diagnosed in 2008 with metastatic lymphoma and sent to Hopkins for surgery. My biopsy can back benign and I was sent home to recover from extensive surgery without a diagnosis. Let me add that I was literally starving to death from malabsorption...57 and 97 lbs. I was fortunate enough to have an amazingly smart physician for a friend (radiation oncologist) who figured out that I probably had CD. I received my diagnosis and my life changed dramatically for the better. I will always have hashimotos and sjogrens syndromes for the rest of my life because the 14 doctors throughout my lifetime of seeking a diagnosis were uneducated or in the box thinkers but I am grateful. It was my pregnancy with my first son that was the stress factor that triggered my CD.
