Thanks for the add! Greeting reenactors, Here is a bit of Confederate history. This knife / dagger was made by my Great, Great, Grandfather David Norris (1836-1917) just before he joined the 8th Tenn Cavalry under General G. Defrell(?) The blade was ground down from a file. The handle was made from the limb of a walnut tree near the Cookville family cemetery where he was later buried. It was handed down from him to my Moms dad (Davids grandson), to my mom and now to me. The simple construction may be of interest.
