Thanks for the add.... this is my Rosey. She was diagnosed with Wobblers at 1 yr 7 months. We opted for the gold bead implants to improve her quality of life after months of acupuncture and chiropractic visits. The gold bead implants were the best money spent. We drove from Ontario Canada to Marion Indiana where Dr Durkes worked his magic. Rosey improved greatly, however about 6 months after she had a serious fall on wet tiled floor and landed on the side of her neck, which set her back. We have her on a low dose of steroid (every other day), which has made her fur thin and her wobblers in the past few weeks appears to be progressing- she has a bit more stumbles (no falls though), shaky when she tries to get up after laying down for a long period of time and kind of unsteady or finding difficult to find her stance. At this point either the steroid will cause her demise or the wobblers will and we are just looking for quality of life for her at this point as from what I read and seen, not a lot can help after a certain point, we just have to keep her comfortable-- however if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them! Shes still a happy girl, doesnt seem to be in any pain- still eats like a fiend and still able to go outside bark, run (somewhat- with her legs going in every direction) and do her business. So Im happy with that. If anyone chooses surgery for Wobblers- I highly recommend a visit to Dr Durkes. Im attaching some pics of Rosey and the one with the neck brace is just after her surgery with Dr Durkes
