Just wanted to alert B-29 followers that a friend of mine who served aboard the Star Duster out of Saipan is recovering from an operation at home and I thought might enjoy some cards and notes from fellow Superfortress Fans. Arthur visited FIFI a number of times at the Reading Air Show and was graciously invited on board by FIFI’s crew when I was with him the last time. I’ve spoken with his daughter and we both believe he would especially enjoy receiving cards and notes from other friends of FIFI and greater B-29 fandom. He made reference to his B-29 experience when admitted to the hospital, mentioning that he flew on 35 missions and considered his surgery the 36th.
