Thanks for the memories: back home in EQ..the heart of the hamptons. I am here to spend time with my brother Gussie Wagner and cousin Ginny Carter and family. First stop was to the cemetery where my sister Margaret Hand and brother Phil Wagner is buried. Then down to Bay Ave to sit on the bench by the bay in memory of my aunt Shirley and uncle Bud Lutz. Lots of memories of swimming,water skiing,fishing off the dock..and my best friend Michele Sacks lived on that street..also made friends with Barbara Sarter who came out to Hampton point for the summer. We floated across the bay on a raft and a tube to get to go to the ocean. I visited with my cousin Judy and her sons Greg and Shawn,and families..reconnected with old friends Linda Erwin,Jimmy Smith,Johnny Holmes,And Scott Jones we had dinner out talking and laughing about old times. Also got to see Lois White Holley,Janet Holmes,Tom Mendenhall, and folks from the EQ church. I visited with my moms friends Marion Erwin,Charolette Kuroski, and Anne Jones . Growing up here we knew almost everyone in town. The stores down town were Deaks grocery store,Walgreens penny candy store, Boschs soda fountain,Mark Janis pharmacy, my aunt Kay Fredericos liquor store..The Fire Dept sponsored Teen Dances,a marching band..that we attended all the parades..and clam bakes. We would all go to the Ocean on Sundays..The Erwins,Lutzs,Collins,Fredericos,Marshalls,and the Wagners. We also go on boats to sand island to clam and picnic with the Gordons and Whitmans. We went jungle crusing in the hills behind Wrights farm,and we had our own gang: The Gear Grinders Lenny Knotoff,Frankie Berry,Georgie Corwin,David Wright,Lloyd Booth,Davie Gordon,Jimmy Gray,Tiny Carter,Bobby Collins,Winston Dunwell,Kenny Alberti they all had hot rods. We had teen nites at the Barge,where the young rascals started,the Masonic temple in WHB,the cave in EQ. Fun times. I enjoyed the concerts in the park in EQ,and WHB with my cousin Ginny. Got to see Barbara and Butch Danowski,Nancy Knotoff,who also attended. Also attended the seafood party,chicken BBQ dinner,the beaches,and relaxed at camp Carters pool..great summer thanks EQ
