Thanks for the nomination Jeliza MacDonald lol, first off I wanna nominate Christine Jane Schroeder, Amber Samantha Rogers and Vanessa Stankewycz, :) this is fun! Anyways, lets start from the beginning. The first three photos are of Cinders, a Canadian mare owned by Lisa Barber :) She is the First horse I ever rode and who I learned to ride on the trails for the first time. Lisa took me on trail rides, and showed me how to pick up feet, and all that good stuff. Cindy is since retired. The last photo of her is the last time I got to ride Cindy. The next photo is of Velvet, a Percheron mare, who I rode when I was like 12 years old. I started to ride her when she was 2 months pregnant right up till she was 11 months and almost bursting with baby in this photo :) I kept her exercised and only rode her bareback with just a halter on and a lead rope on each side. We cruised every trail in the neighbourhood together. She stepped on me once when she was 8 months preggo and broke two of my toes... that baby toe has never been the same lol. I miss her dearly, and hope she ended up in a good home. The next photo shows Johnny the Chestnut QH and Camanche The appaloosa. I rode johnny almost everyday after school when I was 14, he was a great boy, and one of the two geldings I ever rode. And then theres Camanche...I rode her from the time I was 13 till I was 16 when Dina her owner sold her. She taught me everything. How to deal with temper tantrums, learn patients, and most importantly the meaning of a true bond with a horse. I did gymkhana on her, won my belt buckle and trail rode almost everyday. The last two photos are of her last summer, when I seen her for the first time since she was sold. She was happy, healthy and well loved, and it put so much peace in my heart to know she was happy. Next is Dakota, a Clydsdale QH :) Owned by Amber Rogers, and I owe so much to them both. I stopped riding for close to three years after Camanche was sold, and Amber got me back in the saddle. We rode EVERYWHERE. Goat trails, roads, river sides, fields, around parks, up the highway and the powerlines. Got caught in thunder storms, galloped across full fields. And most fun riding in pitch dark even in the winter, We would leave at 11pm, and not get home till 4 or 5 am! I owe Amber and Dakota so much for getting me back into what I LOVE to do. Next is the old man Coors, The white gelding, an appyXTWH she thinks lol, owned by Vanessa. He was the second gelding of the two I have ever rode. So much fun, he loved to plod around but loved to giver hell when you asked. Love that old guy!! And Last but definitely not least, is my girl Sheza. We have grown so much together, and she has beome a wonderful girl. Has her moments but we both do. I love her to bits, and couldnt imagine my life without her. So many great horses have been part of my life! and I owe everything I have become as a horse person to these great horses and the people who were kind enough to let me be part of theyre lives.
