Thanks for the prayers today! First I would like to Congratulate my girl Ashley on making the 18u Richmond Ruckus Gold team, however in the process of trying out on Saturday, she dislocated her finger...the coach popped it back into place and we iced it and elevated it for the rest of the evening. We returned to tryouts on Sunday where she continued doing tryouts...except for throwing the ball, as it was her throwing hand that was injured. On Monday I took her to have it x-rayed as a precaution...since volleyball is starting at school and it is the start of a new travel ball season....the finger is BROKEN! Today we saw an orthopedic surgeon...discussing options...at this point NO SURGERY! Yay!! Splint and x-rays weekly to make sure there is still nothing to warrant surgery! Thanks again for the prayers! Let the healing process begin! Also tonight I send prayers to the Painter family and all their extended families after the loss of their husband, father, son, brother, uncle..etc. a young life lost too soon.
