Thanks for the support from Alex Mansell from Last Light Cinema who was inspired by the Preservation campaign to make a film which explores a snapshot of Southbank and the community within it. Alex had this to say: While filming I overheard a group of BMXers planning their train journey home with one guy saying ‘it’s more than 2 hours home.’ To some Southbank is a vital part of their local environment or even a place of national significance. People meet at The Undercroft not just for the legendary banks and stair set but also for the community and historic location. Purposeful change should only happen for good reason and with so many people campaigning for the preservation of The Undercroft I was keen to shoot the various disciplines at Southbank for the campaign. From being a skateboarder, surfer and mountain biker, the conservation of areas like The Undercroft are vital for these sports. Long Live South Bank Alex Lastlightcinema
