Thanks for turnout! Wentworth Library Literary Scavenger Hunt What a wonderful turn-out for the Literary Scavenger Hunt at the Library on Friday! The workers had a great time watching the excited teams scouring the inside and outside of the library for answers to the questions. The participants learned things about the library they never knew: do you know what the H in Samuel H. Wentworth stands for? Or what year was Gone with the Wind first published? By popular request, we will do another Scavenger Hunt in the near future! We raised $120 towards the Ceiling Restoration Project, made 41 cement handprints which will be incorporated into the new walkway to the Janet Laverack Reading Circle, watched 36+ cupcakes get eaten, and had a fantastic time! Congratulations to the winners of our drawing: Gale and Jasmine for the gift basket donated by Ann-Marie Selinger (thank you Ann-Marie!); Raven, Ella, Maya, and Willow for a Friends of the Library bag filled with goodies; and Dashiell for another Friends bag with goodies. And again, our thanks to all who participated and to those who helped during the day! A great success!
