Thanks for your comments regarding my wifes picture that I took - TopicsExpress

Thanks for your comments regarding my wifes picture that I took while we were in a Mexican restaurant. However, the reason I posted it had to do with the extreme cold weather we are experiencing more than a month before winter officially begins. Being in the low teens makes me look forward to going south for the winter if the Lord allows me to do so. I do agree with you who have said that I married a lady whose inward beauty is as evident as her outward appearance. He who finds a wife finds what is good and obtains favor from the Lord. Pro.18:22. If finding a wife is good then finding a good wife is even better. I have twice received favor from the Lord in finding my first wife and then after her death finding my second wife. Jesus related two parables about finding treasure. In the first parable he told about a man who in searching for pearls found one that was of greater value than all the others. In the second parable a man stumbled upon a treasure that had been buried in a field. The first was looking for treasure. The second was not looking for treasure but immediately knew it when he saw it. Even though neither of those parables have to do with finding a mate the parallels are obvious. How do you find the right person you wish to spend your life with. Some are like the man who was looking for pearls when he found one that appealed to him more than all the rest. Others are like the man who discovered something of great value even though he was not even looking for treasure. How do you know when you have found the right person. Many years ago I heard a well-known speaker say that you know you have found the right person when the earth moves beneath your feet. Yesterday, I was reminded of his statement when an earthquake caused the sofa on which I was sitting to move. Because I think life is more enjoyable when you have someone to share it with I am blessed to have found a good wife who is good in so many ways. Was I looking for pearls or did I just happen to stumble on this treasure? I dont know that it really matters as long as you recognize what you have found. For those of you who are looking trust God to help you find the right one. For those who are no longer looking always value the partner God has given for you to treasure. #,woodswitandwisdom
