Thanks my brother. I agree 100% with the need to think as if there was no box at all. Values and principles if properly instituted will help us build a lasting and resilient institution. I agree with you that we must build an organization that will live long after us but whose historical imprints will be embodied with the contributions and sacrifices that we made to build this party. It may not be today or tomorrow, it may seem simple and ordinary but I have a conviction that we have started a journey that in the fullness of its time we will look back and ask ourselves, and indeed many others will ask us the same question: how did you do it? Without money and when all odds seemed to be against you. Values and strong institutions rather than personalities will ensure that we succeed. We must at all material times put the people first, submit ourselves to the values, principles, ideologies, norms, institutions, laws, rules and regulations that we have set for ourselves. Dialogue, tolerance, hard work, discipline, resilience and unity must be the heartbeat of this movement. It is paradoxical to draw positive inspirations from the army but I think its important. We must never ever abandon our cadres. When one of is stumbles and falls we must turn back and pick them up. Let us be an army, those who have been in the army will agree with me: you never leave a comrade in arms in the battle field even when they are dead. Let us say to each other I will cover your back as you will cover mine, and indeed when you are there let me have no reason to believe that my back is not covered. I pray day and night that we may promote and uphold the team spirit that we have started with. The ugly head of factionalism, personality cults and rumour mongering must never cross the red sea with Joshua. They must be shown Canaan like Moses but know that themselves will not get there. Ours youths and women are the backbone of this movement, we are a movement for the future and if we neglect youth mobilization we will be doing so at our own peril. I admire the courage of all those who said enough is enough and cherish the thousands of our people who are joining us each and everyday. I have no doubt about the fact that Gods time is high and that his hand has touched our heads to spearhead the ultimate journey of total and unfettered liberation and emancipation of our people. As we soldier forward, let us be inspired by the many iconic figures from our continent and beyond who have contributed so much for others at some instances even with their lives; Nkwame Nkrumah, Julius Nyerere, Joshua Nkomo, Martin King, Malcolm X Nelson Mandela and others. We have our own cadres who have said give me freedom or give death. Let us track them and put them in our own hall of fame , our own heroes acre and have a day where we commemorate cherish and celebrate their life courage and sacrifices. That is how we can preserve pur historical paradigm which will continue to reaffirm our legitimacy as a movement. That is our history and our pride. Indeed we are proud to be associated with such cadres Gift Tandare, Shepherd Janhi, Patrick Nabanyama, Better Chokururama to name but a few. But let us please take care of their families and ensure that their families remain an integral part of us. I am glad that we have revised our position on a number of very critical issues such as land indigenization and pan Africanism. In the future long after Mugabe is gone lower narratives will be surbodinated to higher narratives. For example our position on the land issue will be more remembered than the fact that Promise Mkwananzi spent two weeks in prison or was expelled from the university. I dont want to fail answer when my kids Luana and Edric ask me thirty years from todayDaddy what did you think you were doing opposing land reform and empowerment of our own people. At that time it will be difficult to substantiate that these things were being corruptly done because thats lower narrative. So let us forge ahead with the courage to be different. I salute you !!!
