I didnt promote or condone all the photos and comments showing how DEAD WRWDs broadcast area was at the fairs, I never said that Orange NISSAN TRUCK with General Lee Style 01 was the most sickening, Pathetic design for a station truck Id ever seen PLUS After driving the real General Lee (1969 Dodge) for 21+ years, whos name POPs into your head IMMED when you see anything Orange with a Black 01? Im here in NY to see if FM radio has gone by the way side. Poor Party Marty 56+ years old with a name like that? WRWDs so called Pro managers wont send him on the road. Why? Sending your star morning guy out on the road is 100% in need to increase ratings and make that special connection with the fan base. In 15 years I made it a point to NEVER TURN AWAY ANYONE that wanted to meet the guy on the radio. Today, the DJs are way more attractive than we ever were. Most of em could nail next months cover of G.Q. / Im sure real fans havent noticed at all the mediocre effort being put into trying to sound like, imitate, dress like ohhhh what the hell was the guys name there?? Tommy Walker! Thats it. News flash for ya: youre never going to come close to sounding like Tommy Walker - why? Cause Tom never scripted every word, Tom never made it sickeningly obvious that he was reading off of a piece of paper. Tom Never went to Broadcast School. Broadcast school teaches you nothing. Just listen to em all talking AT you like youre a heard of cattle. I talked TO you one on one & if ya think Radio School can teach you that, you are sadly mistaken. Either youre born with the gift or you are NOT. That determines your entire career. Todays FM is in trouble. In 2013, the so called O.M. Wrote me up for playing Garth Brooks Friends in Low Places on my radio show Because it wasnt On the pre picked playlist, what kind of college education persuades you to reprimand your #1 Morning Guy for playing the biggest country hit of all time? Then, the rope was tightening when the same guy said I couldnt talk on air for more than :35 seconds. How can a professional radio entertainer deliver the ad-lib improv non scripted funny as all hell goods in :35? Its impossible. My closing arguments Ill say this: in my non professional, 44 IQ Opinion, pairing up Johnny Ritigliano (TIGMAN) & Tommy Lee Walker for WPDH Morning Drive Time would be so big, Wed get greeting cards from Bob Wolf, John Tobin & the rest of those Legends. My other suggestion has been made as well, & if they pass, well, they are pros, they know what they are doin. Let me sit in with CJ on 94.3/97.3 The Wolf. I told the brass let me on 6-9am weekdays, Ill play off CJ, handle the writing, social media & come on air whenever he needed me to. Perfect time to mount a serious charge. I said Id work for $9/hour Part Time 6-9a. Id run a wrecker or sell cars to make a living in the afternoon. Told Brass if they see one red flag in my performance, Id exit quietly - thats why Im here in NY at this time. If that idea gets shot down, Ill accept the fact that I obviously have no knowledge of broadcasting what so ever - My Thoughts. As always with your best interest at heart.
