Thanks so much to all the riders that visited the park this weekend. We really appreciate the support and feedback weve been getting. Weekends like this really help us improve the park for everyone. We are really enjoying getting to know so many great people more and more each week! Of the 4 days, today was another one of those simply amazing days. The track stayed perfect from 10 until the 12:15 intermission. Somehow, we pulled off a 25 minute refresh on the track. Several mentioned that it didnt seem like we needed to do anything to the track at this time. I know from experience now that it is really important for us to rip and water before letting it get packed or dusty at all. It really extends the overall time the track stays in peak condition. Plus, I love watching the big bikes hit a fresh track...especially those who go down in the S turn. I really need to setup a video camera to catch these and create a bleepers reel. lol! We held off on Sundays track refresh until 3 pm because the day got off to such a slow start. The riders who stuck around had a great treat. We really hope all the riders in the area realize how committed we are to providing top track conditions...not only at the start of the day but all day long! Spread the word because honestly the more riders who know it and come to SF end up making it easier to provide even better conditions. As an FYI, we will always have timed sessions from now on when there are big bikes and small bikes. It really benefits the big bikes to put in hard 20 minute motos, know they get a 15 minute break, and then go back out for the next 20 minute moto. Sunday only had 2 small bikes that really didnt want to go out as often. In theory it seemed great but in practice it created some frustration because some of the big bikes went out for 20 minutes, rested for 20 minutes, and geared up to go again only to get hit with us starting a session for the small bikes...thus ending up with a 35 minute break...plus getting all dressed and no where to go. :-) BTW, the irony of time sessions is all riders actually end up putting in more track time versus open riding. Big bike riders tend to ride less than 20 minutes during open practice days and also tend to take longer than 15 minute breaks thus ending up with less hours on the track. Well, it is almost midnight. I guess I should rest a little before heading back to my real job tomorrow. Thanks again everyone!
