Could not fault anything. Had the bread and dips + carpaccio for entree, the venison for main and the choc creme brulee to finish. Very nice service and dining experience. Compliments to the Chef. A coolish day outside, so the nice log fire inside added to convivial atmosphere. Decided on Sandalford Winery for lunch and we were not disappointed. Sure, it is not cheap, but the food was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. We shared the Charcuterie Plate which consisted of all sorts of delights and was the perfect entrée for two. Main Courses were both good sized portions - melt in your mouth food and the dessert of Avocado Cheesecake, amazing. The service was fantastic - very friendly and professional. The ambience at Sandalford is lovely with the candles and white table cloths. There is also an excellent gift shop on the premises. We had a very good wine tasting before the meal and chose our wine for the meal so easily having done that first! We were not disappointed with anything here - really couldnt fault it. Lovely service, friendly but professional and the meals we chose were simply beautiful. Looked great on the plate and the taste matched. Especially loved our carpaccio which was delicious. The venison was cooked to perfection and Im glad we shared our dessert (chocolate creme brulee) - so rich and yes, heavier than a non-chocolate variety but so decadent!
