Thanks to Banfield Pet Hospital for refusing to perform convenience euthanasia on this sweet dog. Ava is a giant schnauzer, about 1 1/2 years old, who was being treated for a very common skin condition- demodex mange. When the owners decided they no longer would treat Ava, they brought her to Banfield to be euthanized. The caring and compassionate staff at Banfield then called Brother Wolf Animal Rescue and asked if we would take her into our network. Of course we agreed! Now Ava is in a loving and patient foster home, where we will work on helping her overcome her insecurities and teach her to be a dog again.
