Thanks to Clear Channel, got to see two great shows over the past week. Last Friday night it was Jerry Seinfeld at Hard Rock Live. As expected, great show! No question, when he is on stage, he is Master of His Domain! :-) He is relatable, witty, clever, yada yada yada... Last nite it was Kenny Loggins at the Kravis in WPB. Ive always liked Kenny, but honestly, I was kinda lukewarm to the idea of going. But Carol really wanted to see him, so I got the tix. He was fantastic!! He told detailed stories about the songs with warmth and humor; he engaged the crowd, at one point coming out INTO the crowd, standing on someones chair and singing along; he created an initimate atmosphere with songs like Dannys Song, House at Pooh Corner, and Celebrate Me Home. Then he rocked out with great classics like Im Alright, Angry Eyes, Danger Zone, Footloose, and Your Mama Dont Dance. The place ROCKED. His voice is strong and he sounds like he did 40 years ago. His backup band is tight, and his lead guitarist, Scott Bernard, is superb. And I developed a whole new appreciation for the great talent that Kenny Loggins is!
