Thanks to Dan Worth for the acceptance (y) I rarely if ever have any knowledge of stolen vehicles, but I do have knowledge of attempts of steal your money for non-existent ones listed on eBay, and it would be of great value to the new members of this group (and Im guessing that at any given moment there are about 400-500 of them) to be made aware of the danger. On eBay UK for example in an average month I find about 800 vehicle scams and I post details on my blog. I would appeal to the administrators of Stolen Cars UK to allow me to post here occasionally for the very real and serious benefit of educating the groups new members about online vehicle fraud, which in 2013 cost British car/vehicle buyers almost £18 million - and thats based only on reported figures; the true figure was a lot higher. Thats £50,000 a day with the typical victim losing £5000. I hope SCUK will be one of the smarter groups on Facebook who will recognise the value of information and education - the common denominator here is THEFT. You guys deal in information about the theft of vehicles, I deal in information about the attempted theft of money for vehicles, so I think theres a link somewhere! I strongly recommend that you follow Jack Buster especially if you are new to the world of buying anything with wheels and an engine - Ive found, reported and busted over 15,000 vehicle scams on eBay and I expect 2015 will be an even busier year.
