Thanks to Mark G for this wonderful Trip Advisor Review... “Another fantastic stay.” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW via mobile For once a month for the past 2 months and the next 3 months I will be staying at the Doubletree By Hilton. I firmly believe for any Gold or Diamond Hilton Honors member is that we have a terrific deal if we use 4,000 points + £22 pounds. For a room upgrade, free top WiFi, free breakfast and one free drink at the bar.. its unbeatable. My latest stay. I was checking in with my mother and her husband as they had a early flight the same day as mine...so I purchased them a room as a treet...they received the same upgrades as I did. Check in was swift and everything was explained..we received our vouchers for a free drink and breakfast and the signature cookie each. The receptionist was very friendly and seemed interested in where my mother then I was heading the next morning. My room. I had asked for room 165 which is a lot bigger than the other rooms...its a corner room that has two massive windows (its basically all windows)...im actually surprised that the hotel doesnt use this type of room for its HHonors members since its much larger than other rooms. I have been to some Hilton hotels and they would of offered this type of room for extra money. The bar. Sometimes its busy and sometimes its not...the bar staff were again friendly enough but slow...maybe it was just one of them nights?. Breakfast. The restaurant staff were as helpful as ever. I just love the Doubletree breakfast mainly because I can eat unhealthy compared to what I would normally eat...the sausages are a firm favourite of mine. Check out. I was pleasantly surprised when I was asked how my daughters flight went 4 weeks earlier...Upon check in last month my daughter had explained to the receptionist who was checking us in that she didnt like flying...the receptionist informed us that her boyfriend also didnt like flying. So when the receptionist asked me about my daughter I was able to tell her on return flight to NCL it was actually diverted back to AMS!. She seemed to have sympathy for my daughter...We spoke about the the joys of being a HHonors member then I bid a fond farewell and made my way to the terminal. There is no question of doubt that this hotel is a firm favourite of mine. Its just a shame it didnt have a sauna and steam room to go with the gymnasium then it would be better than perfect.
