Thanks to Michael Kirk for sending me this, not that my aim is to convince anyone of the sheer futility of war. If Im obsessed with anything its to spell out the significance of the media & the role it plays, not just in our lives but our history! Our politicians & media are controlled by the same people. The thing is - IT HAS TO BE LIKE THIS! One without the other serves little purpose. Of course if youve got a politician in your pocket you can pull the odd stroke but the last thing corrupt officials need is a fully independent media with hungry journalists digging for scoops. Im absolutely certain - if wed have somehow managed to ensure media independence, forget about the fact the power-brokers are steering us into a 3rd world war; its difficult to envisage how we could have ever had the 1st & 2nd world wars had the media been free to report the truth!
