Thanks to Rick Sharon Anscomb for these kind words after visiting the Pond Playhouse last night. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit to the Pond Playhouse theatre on Parkhill Hill Road in Purcells Cove, just outside of Halifax. The building is modern, very cozy with amazingly comfortable seats - for 90 people. The lobby has a small bar with a wonderful ambiance. The acting was outstanding, the set, sound and lighting were exceptional. The next production will be about 6 coal miners from Cape Breton who are doing The Full Monty. I bet it will be hilarious. The play we saw was The Stillborn Lover, written by Toronto native Timothy Findley. I cannot thank Global Halifax morning show for the opportunity to win tickets to see the play. If not for that, we may not have discovered this brilliant Theatre Arts Guild.
