Thanks to Vicky Matani and Shweta Kumar maam for the nomination. Heres my TOP 10 list for the BOOK BUCKET CHALLENGE (haha). However, I would have been happier with a top 100 list....:-P 1. Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (no surprises here.) 2. Gone With The Wind by Margaret Mitchell (all time favorite book. Makes me want to move to Georgia and be a 19th century Southern belle...read it so many times but this 1000+ pages masterpiece still moves me) 3. Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier (the mother of all suspense mystery books) 4. The Thornbirds by Colleen Mccullough (if ever there was a book that made me question religion or morality, it was this one...the TV miniseries adaptation is also fantastic) 5. Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. (Best. Book. Ever. The climax of the book involves a 50-PAGE speech by the books hero. Enough said) 6. The Glass Palace by Amitav Ghosh. (Historical fiction. *sigh*) 7. To Kill A Mockingbirdby Harper Lee. (A book I read when I was 12 and is still on my top 10 list.) 8. The Emperor of Maladies by Siddhartha Mukherjee. 9. The Great Gatsbyby Scott Fitzgerald (an all time classic....) 10. The Grapes of Wrath by John Steinback (this was one of the rare occasions I saw the movie before reading the book ) :-) Most people are done with this challenge.
