Thanks to above normal temperatures, fog has become almost the daily norm over much of north and central Alberta in recent times. Environment Canada issued around 3:30 p.m. Saturday fog advisories for at least five regions, including the northwest corner of Alberta in the High Level/Fort Vermilion region, and also four regions from the centre of the province to the Saskatchewan border, including places like Lac La Biche, Fort McMurray, Cold Lake, Vegreville, Fort Saskatchewan, Vermilion, Lloydminster and Wainwright. The advisory reads: Near zero visiblity in fog is expected or occurring. An area of fog is developing over portions of eastern and northern Alberta and will expand through the night. Visibilities are expected to improve Sunday morning. Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.
