Thanks to all Civil servants I met since the 24th. It is such a challenge to provide a service to members of the public. I have in the last two days experienced one on ones with Police officers on the roads, soldiers on the roads and elsewhere, nurses and doctors in the hospitals, immigration and Customs officers at the borders as well as security personnel and cleaners at the such borders. One thread that runs across all these people that I met is their kindness, their smiles, their commitment , dedication and their respect. These are Batswana who should be with their families during this holidays but are instead providing service to us with a smile. I was at some border early today and was touched by the commitment of our officers most of them young. I want to profusely thank all those I met and those I did not meet for I know that the commitment is the same. At UDC we recognise and appreciate your hard work and hope that the ruling party can also see the way we do and compensate you aporopriately. Enjoy your festive guys and God bless you
