Thanks to all for the birthday wishes, sadly though this birthday is also the day Elvis Presley died. He died as is suggested by his Biographer who quoted the coroners report. Loosely is says: from a Valsalva action while pushing too hard to pass a motion on the toilet. So collapsing with low blood pressure from which he never awoke from. I have chosen Elvis for his High profile and to draw attention for what is a neglected area or at least a misunderstood area of medicine. I and others I know suffer from long term constipation which has been met by professionals at times with very inadequate responses and treatment. If it were not the case that something as simple as not going to the toilet was being addressed then Elvis may not have died. His was a long term chronic problem. Although his diet was exacerbating the condition. I hoped his profile would draw attention to the plight of many throughout the world and for the advancement in treatment for all bowel conditions.
