Thanks to all my family and friends who have sent their best wishes, shown concern, offered help and nagged me to get myself checked out yesterday (I would have done so anyway considering how my hand felt last night). My hand feels fine now it is immobilised. I just feel somewhat stupid for falling off the kerb, and frustrated as everything will require more effort for the next few weeks. On the positive side, I will learn to be more dexterous with my left hand, so once the cast is off I should be able to do things twice as fast :D
