Thanks to all that attended our meeting tonight. Now that a plea has been entered in our embezzlement case, we can openly speak to the staff and parents regarding this issue, as it is now considered a closed investigation. First of all, thank you for all of your support and well wishes. It has been a long road and we are excited to be near the end of it. The article I have attached to this post is a little misleading and I would like to clarify a few things for the parents, staff and supporters of our PTA. We the PTA did not accept or make a "deal" with the accused. Their lawyers and the prosecutor have worked out their plea agreements, as in all court cases. We WILL receive all of our money back over time via monthly payments...until the monies have all been returned to our group. The 8 months the article describes is their probation period. There will be a pre-sentencing on November 4th at 1pm and then again 8 months down the road to look over the payment process and how it is "going", Judge Post will then do the official sentencing for both Melissa Moore-Youngs and Adam Youngs at this time. CONTINUED PAYMENTS will be a part of this judgement. Once again, thank you for your support and commitment to Ferry Elementary and the Voyager School PTA.
