Thanks to all the family and friends that made the trip to Lexington, walking off that field and seeing little ones like my great-niece Kenley and Sydney Helfrich, smiling and happy to see us keeps things in perspective. Dale Helfrich and I are very blessed with Jenny Frankel Helfrich and Julie Krause. It was a great season and without the support and encouragement of our wives (or wife-to-be in my case) we wouldnt be where we are! Family and friends make things like this even more sweet. Yes losing on PKs is a toughy, but I will never forget the love and support we saw last night and all season long. Also knowing we had family and friends coast-to-coast and even abroad watching the game webcast means a lot. So blessed to have great family and friends. I am so grateful to be called Coach and to be one at Trinity High School is the single most rewarding soccer and/or professional experience of my life. Being a dad, husband-to be are tops in my book, but being a coach is right up there too. Sphe...off my soap box (cue the music...wrap it up hand signals) Lots of love to all!
