Its the Second Chance Pet Rescues Annual Christmas Breakfast and Dessert Auction. For a $6 donation, enjoy a good, old fashioned country style breakfast and a chance to win some delicious Holiday desserts at the Community Center, 104 West 3rd Street, in downtown Grove. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 am to 10:30 am, but be sure not to miss the Dessert Auction which will start promptly at 8:30 am. David Barber of Butler Creek Auction Gallery will sell to the highest bidder delicious specialty desserts donated by local popular restaurants and celebrated bakers. Interested in shopping for Christmas merchandise? Then plan to shop for great Christmas items also available at the breakfast. And to help the shelter animals enjoy their holidays, please donate dog and/or cat toys and treats. Advance tickets may be purchased from the Second Chance Thrift Shop now at its new location 220 W. 3rd Street (3 blocks east of Main Street in downtown Grove), the Second Chance Pet Rescue shelter located two miles east of downtown Grove on Highway 10, or online via the website doitforthepets. Tickets will also be available the morning of the breakfast at the Community Center. All proceeds will benefit the homeless animals of Second Chance Pet Rescue of Grand Lake (formerly known as the Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake). So join the Second Chance volunteers for a delicious breakfast and be sure to be there in time for the fun and fast-paced Dessert Auction starting at 8:30 am.
