Thanks to all who took my post regarding Schoolies as an opportunity to slag them off. My comment that I am not a fan was in regard to the event, not the kids themselves who I generally find ok. The event is to me and no doubt many others a bloody nuisance - with those most in favour being those supplying overpriced accomodation or selling them consumables - todays Mail page 4. Yes, its a holiday town and of course if you live here crowds go with the territory - but please, not thousands of kids at a good deal of cost to the ratepayers who see little or no benefit. Driving from Dunsborough to Busselton this afternoon I passed 5 buses between Commonage Road and Monahagns Corner. All marked as Leavers only - 1 strangely full and the other 4 almost empty - what a waste of resources!
