Thanks to all you peeps who have liked my page. Im going to do updates of whats happening in the life of Dawn but Im going to keeping it random and unscheduled. Because I have the philosophy to something that scares you shitless on a regular basis performing is my number one priority (it really does raise the immune - scaring yourself shitless I mean) so the most recent include a half hour set of my own songs at the Poets and Performers night in Albany, some open mics in Albany and Nanga Musical Festival. Luscious Organic Cafe & Store let me play for a few hours a few Saturdays ago, that was a lot of fun, it ended up being a real singalong (another immune lifter), hopefully we can do it again soon. Play it by Ear is another one of my favourite performance experiences...I love it when people join in and sing along :) I might do a bit of busking at the bakery in the next few weeks and Ill be playing at Goodfellas in Margaret River on Sunday 2nd November too. I like to keep pushing through the fear barriers to help me move forwards all the time and performing on my own certainly is a way to do that. I am currently very busy with the Music Diploma at the Denmark GSIT and for the next 8 weeks we are recording our own songs and adding instrumentation and the goal is to come out with a demo of 4 new songs. I love the recording process, its such a lot of fun and it can test your patience at times too. It was this time 2 years ago that we nearly lost the music program, gee time flys. There are currently 10 enrolled in Cert III and 5 enrolled in the Diploma which is fantastic! It was the whole community of music and art lovers that made it possible for us to continue doing this amazing course. Cert II starts again in January for anyone interested or you may have friends interested....remember to spread the word .... only 2 days per week school hours! We had an awesome time at the Nanga Music Festival last week there were some great acts and some of my favourite were Kallidad, Enda Kenny, Will Thomas and the Stoney Joes. There were many more great acts and the icing on the cake was the fireside jam fri and sat night where we got everyone singing along which you know is my favourite all time thing to do :) Ill save my biggest news till last and that is Coffee my Dear now has over 40,000 views which is doing my head in. The most views are in Mexico, Columbia and Thailand so if you have any friends in those countries please let them know I am available for gigs :O) https://youtube/watch?v=BzgMr9qyxUE adios amigos
