Thanks to my lovely friend Shasheen Shah, I get to have a go at CorePower Yoga and did a heated power yoga class. This was quite hot and you still sweat buckets but it was quite different than Bikram in that you do a lot more poses and a bit faster pace. Gumby gumby gumby is all I can say! Holy moly! They do a good core workout which was pretty challenging but awesome. In the end what I have gathered is that there is HUGE value in both. It is extremely helpful with recovery and giving your muscles the chance to stretch and stay in motion after putting them through the wringer with the Spartan Beast or any other challenging event you guys/gals may participate in. I highly recommend you get your Yoga in as well as your workouts. Remember we are conditioning Body, Mind and Spirit. This will help you connect, keep your focus and practice your breathing while also working your muscles & flexibility. XO!
