Thanks to my three friends who nominated me for this on the same day! Thank you, Ramachander Poodipeddi, Siddharth Penmetcha, and Vamsi Krishna Thota!!! Here are the ten books that truly had an effect on me and changed my life: 1. Wake Up, Intellectuals! by Krishnan Pagalthivarthi. If you can find a copy, grab it, read it, and worship it! 2. Walden and other writings by Henry David Thoreau, for it validates my idiosyncratic quests from across a century. 3. The Elements of Style by Strunk & White; because style matters! I would have been an insufferably pathetic writer had it not been for Jeff Howard! 4. The Bhagavad Gita As It Is by HDG Srila Prabhupada; because the Song of God remains an unfailing guide in all times, at all places, for all. 5. Collapse by Jared Diamond, because he gave me hope at the end of a painfully true prediction for our civilization, and asked me to act. 6. The Journey Home - Autobiography of an American Swami. Radhanath Swami [Official]. This is surely the MOST wonderful personal autobiography that I have ever read in all of my life. 7. Churning the Earth - Making of Global India by Aseem Srivastava and Ashish Kothari. Because they re-introduced me to my home country and told me quite brutally frankly about all things that need to be fixed here. 8. Uncommon Wisdom by Fritjof Capra. Dare I explain? 9. Vedic Ecology by Ranchor Prime, for educating my dim brain with an exquisite combination of spirituality and ecological concerns. 10. The Shrimad Bhagavatam (by Srila Prabhupada) Canto 8, Part 1, for chancing upon me in a most unexpected place, and for reuniting me with childhood tales of Shiva and Gajendra, adding great value and meaning to them. I nominate Pragnya Lavanya, Santosh Phani Chintalapati, Madhav Sankara, Raghavendra Kopalle, Praveena Kishore, Jyotsna Sivaguru, Lori De La Cruz, and Rohit Pathania. Please list the top ten books that changed your life and the way you think about it. Sarvesham svastir bhavatu!
